Steel Knife Baseplate Timber Column Support
This is a CAD *.dwg drawing for a Steel Knife Baseplate Timber Column Support detail. Timber column post with dimensions 150x150mm, is supported from a steel knife fin plate with through bolts, only from one side. Column is raised to clear the height of the anchor bolts, holding down the baseplate as well as to protect the timber post from water.
The steel knife fin plate is welded onto a steel baseplate that is fixed onto the supporting level ( either foundation or slab ) with 4 anchor bolts.
