Timber Beam to SHS Steel Column Angle Moment Connection
Detailed structural CAD drawing for a Timber Beam to SHS Steel Column Angle Moment Connection. This is a commonly used structural detail for when designing for hybrid composite structures with both steel and timber members.
Connection is established with the use of two steel angles at top and bottom of the timber beam. Angles are L200x150x12mm dimensions and are welded to the SHS steel column with a fillet weld all around. Timber beam is fastened with 4 full threaded screws on top and bottom to provide for a full support moment connection.
