Secondary beam with a 50mm cut-out rests on top of the main timber beam for better support stability and also to prevent from warping. The secondary beam is connected onto main beam with 6mm double steel angles on both sides. Connection can also be made with one steel angle only on one side depending on the design and loading conditions.
