Design Description
The front half of the hangar is an 18.0m singel span portal frame where as the second half is a 36.0m double span portal frame with a mezzanine steel floor. Elevated crane supported from the portal frame columns runs the whole span of the building.
The entire building has 1,400square meters ( 15,000sq.feet ) of workshop area.
Single and double span roof with 40mm thick insulated sandwich panel system with rain water and valley gutters. Portal frames bracing is also essential due to the heavy horizontal crane loads ( during stop and go ) as well as other horizontal loadings ( i.e. earthquake, wind loads etc ).
Foundation system is made of single pad footings with concrete pier column and connecting ground beams to account for differential settlement. All details included.
